The result of a year-long creative project making art and music for some of the UK's lost species. Some vanished forever, others have since returned or brought back from the brink through reintroduction/rewilding. By writing these songs, I wanted to set their scene and tell their stories but also rewrite and play around with these stories as folktales in their own right. This is only a snippet of the stuff I researched.

I also made some artwork for each animal which, along with thoughts and lyrics, have been printed into a limited edition booklet. Find it in the Merch bit. Some of the images are available here as bonus items.

Thanks to Dave for lending me that beautiful hurdy gurdy, and thanks to a nice guy called Pete who finally got the thing working.

Track 1 features an excerpt from 'An Account of the Decline of the Great Auk According to One Who Saw It' by Jessie Greengrass.
Track 3 inspired by 'Pais Dinogad', an ancient Welsh-Cumbric lullaby, dated c.13th century. Look it up- it's really interesting.
